Claire W. Tucker

 President and Chief Executive Officer

Claire W. Tucker serves as CapStar’s president and chief executive officer. Claire is a graduate of Tennessee Wesleyan College, the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Rutgers University and Tennessee State University.

Prior to her position at CapStar, she served as senior vice president of metro markets and city (Nashville) president for FirstBank of Lexington, TN. Claire was responsible for supervising the bank’s sales and marketing activities in major Tennessee markets and developed the bank’s market presence in Nashville. Before joining FirstBank, Claire was with AmSouth Bank in Nashville, serving as senior executive vice president. She began her banking career at First American in 1975, advancing from a management trainee to president of corporate banking.

Claire serves on the executive committee for Ingram Entertainment and serves on the board of the Nashville Ballet. She is chair of St. Luke’s Community House; member of the advancement committee of Tennessee Wesleyan College; vice-chair of the Minnie Pearl Cancer Foundation; and serves in leadership roles on numerous other boards and advisory committees. Claire has one son and lives in Brentwood, Tenn.
